Read the linked essays on the college board website. Make sure you scroll down to question 3, starting on page 17. These are actual student responses from the 2005 Form B AP Lit exam. It doesn't matter that you have not read the books the students write about; you can still see if they A) Fully address the prompt, B) Build a thoughtful argument that offers a reading of the book and makes a thoughtful claim about what the book says about power, C) Use apt and specific textual evidence to support their claims.
